Guidelines
Time:
- the total Video Reel is made up of several video clips
- each clip should be 2-3 seconds long
- the total time compilation of the Video Reel should be a maximum of 30 seconds
- the lower the total time compilation of the Video Reel, the higher the quality of the video reel (10-20 seconds would be ideal)
- when sending the video clips, specify the time in the clip that you wish to use (ex: for a video recording 45 seconds long, I would like 0:23-0:25 to be used)
When recording:
- still shots are super great when recording subjects that are in motion (people shaking hands, Father speaking, Bishop Confirming, Couple getting Married)
- video panning (moving your camera when recording) is OK when the subject is still (Parish Sign, outside of Church Building, inside view of Church, shots with no moving elements)
- when video panning, only pan left to right or right to left (Do not pan up or down)
- if you think you're going slow enough, go much much slower. The slower the panning speed, the higher quality of video recording
Keep in mind:
- if the video reel will have content covering the video on the left- or right-hand side (see homepage), when recording a subject, keep it respectively right or left third of the screen (subject needs to be on the opposite side of content already on page)
- we can supply a Dropbox location for you to upload this footage for us to edit if needed
